uluwatu

Tourist areas in Bali that combine natural beauty, culture, and tourism.

Uluwatu is located at the southwestern tip of the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, Indonesia. Uluwatu is famous for its high limestone cliffs that offer stunning ocean views. One of its main attractions is Pura Luhur Uluwatu, a Hindu temple situated on the edge of a cliff 70 meters above sea level. This temple is very sacred to Balinese Hindus and has become a popular spot for tourists, especially to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.

Uluwatu is one of the main tourist destinations in Bali, particularly for surfers. Beaches such as Padang Padang Beach, Suluban Beach, and Bingin Beach offer excellent waves for surfing. Additionally, there are many resorts, luxury villas, restaurants, and bars with ocean views. This area is also known for its Kecak dance performances often held at the temple area in the evenings. These performances attract many visitors as they combine dance, drama, and traditional Balinese music. Uluwatu also has a unique ecosystem with flora and fauna characteristic of the coastal cliff area.
